NSA PCCARE have been shortlisted for the Neath Port Talbot Environment award for its unique Reuse / Recycling, we have been invited to the Towers Hotel on the 20th November where the winners will be announced. We are very proud of the success we have archived over the past 8 months and would like to take this time to thank our volunteers who have helped make the reuse and recycle scheme a reality. We would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to Austin Dredge, a dedicated volunteer who passed away recently. You will be greatly missed by all within New Sandfields Aberavon.

Recycling project is helping close the digital divide.

Recycling project is helping close the digital divide. Jul 30 2009 by Rachel Moses, Port Talbot Guardian A NEW innovative community recycling project has been launched in Port Talbot.

The aim of the programme is to build confidence and work skills while greatly reducing ICT waste within Neath Port Talbot area.

Layton Emery, PCCARE's project leader explained: "We are excited about this new reuse and recycle initiative."

"It will allow us to offer real work-based placements, training and volunteering opportunities as well as providing working computers, for a small fee, to those who cannot afford to buy one. It's a means to reuse waste instead of just recycling it. We will be helping to close the digital divide, improve job prospects by building work skills and increasing confidence while, equally as important, reducing waste."
